this past weekend i was finally able to get back on the bike.
saturday morning i met up with peaches for an early morning love ride. it was nice and easy with good conversation and good weather. just all around good stuff.
sunday i participated in my first wheelmen ride since the hot heat of summer. we rolled out to hurst hammock and back with a +/-15mph wind out of the northeast. my legs felt great the whole day which made me even more excited to be back on the road.
on october 22nd this year's fenner mcconnell/matt wantz memorial ride will be taking place. a handful of years ago this memorial ride was the first century i had ever done. due to various reasons (excuses) i have not done the whole thing since then, which is a little regrettable, but some of my excuses are good. this year i plan to do the entire thing once more. fingers crossed.
