collected collections of collectives

of sorts.

i have been doing a bunch of reading via the internet while here at work. i kind of think of it as employer paid education, i assume they would disagree. either way, most of my reading as of late has been revolving around anarchy and anarchism, and naturally, some of it revolves around bicycles. go figure.

well, so far as i can tell it doesn't matter what you are reading, whether it is the biography of voltairine de cleyre, your local newspaper, or the yahoo news website nothing goes without a label. nothing goes without that precursory adjective that informs the reader what viewpoint the article or essay is going to be from prior to actually reading the information contained within. this helps the reader form whatever opinion before reading or totally avoid the writings in other cases. this is just one observation.

also concerning anarchist writings specifically, i am not noticing very many things written that concern "anarchist ways of thought" as a whole. more like collected readings by individuals who oppose certain ideas. which, in my opinion, is a good thing. however, this sort of all inclusive behavior leads to infinite amounts of little factions within the greater whole. which leads to all sorts of little labels and then further leads to infighting and division and, as a result, cooperation as a whole breaks down and becomes ineffective.

this is very apparent in today's political arena, whether anarchist, republican, socialist, or whatever umbrella you choose to stand under.

the reasoning behind this post is so i can look at this text in black and white and base my opinion on the observation of my own two eyes without influence by labels.

or at least i will give it a shot.
