lyler wanders around the house, meowing and searching for his brother. he knew something was wrong before we went to the vet, but now he's trying to find out what.
i'm still expecting to go into the back room and have to kick him off of a pile of clean laundry or pry him off of the window sill to go outside.
the last time i saw him he was skinny and miserable in the vet with an i.v. in his arm and breathing heavily, but purring because we were with him.
shea saw him being shaved and prepared for surgery. i didn't get to see that because i was in the hospital myself. part of me wishes i could have seen him one more time, but another part is glad i didn't have to see him go through that.
the vet did everything she could. so did we. so did he.
rest in peace chivo. your family loves and misses you terribly.
